Katherine was the most amazing host . Months before we came she communicated so much helpful information to us . She bent over backwards to accommodate us . She organized a car rental , paddle boards , kayaks and told us all her favorite spots not to miss . While there , she was quick to answer all our questions and helped us with so much . Josie greeted us with refreshments and also gave us amazing insight of the island. The house was clean and so nice . We cooked a lot and felt so comfortable and safe and happy . The beds were so comfortable. We had everything we needed there .
Katherine was so helpful from before we even landed until the last day of our stay. She greeted us with rum punch and told us all of her recommendations for our stay. Anything we needed, she was so helpful with. The water wasn’t getting hot and as soon as we told her, she had it fixed immediately. She even went as far as to give us rides and schedule me a doctors appointment at the clinic on the island when I get sick. I would highly recommend this villa because of the amazing hospitality. The villa itself is also exactly like described on Airbnb in a great central location and we had such an amazing time. I would definitely return and stay here again
Great place! I’d recommend it to all my friends!
Very nice home. Five minute or less walk to the beach. Felt safe and comfortable. Kitchen was perfectly stocked with all the right utensils. Loved our stay and all of the little touches that Arthur thought of like beach chairs and an umbrella we could use. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay here again. Thank you
Beautiful place! It was very clean, and very close to the ocean. Would definitely stay here again!
The villa was in a great location, easy to get to and 5 minute walk to the beach. The pool was very clean and great to have. The villa has everything you need for your stay. We had a rental car which was great to check out Grace Bay and the other beaches on the island. The grocery store is about a 5 minute drive from the villa. Arthur was a great host and easy to get in touch with. Check in and check out was effortless. We would definitely stay here again if we get the chance to come back to paradise.
A lovely place to stay in Grace Bay/ Turtle Cove. Pool is great when you don’t want the beach. Nearest beach is 5 mins walk, and beautiful of course!
To begin with Josie is your best friend on the island. I can not express the professionalism, expertise, and the overall experience that me and my family enjoyed while visiting Sweet Escape. Everything you need and more is located right there at home...and we did call it home for the week we were there. If we had a request or a need they were right there answering my questions and helping to set it up so that we had the best experience. Also. TAKE THE BOAT OUT!!! We had the best captains the two days we had the boat and it was my kids favorite part of the entire trip, and let me tell you each day was different and beyond special. This is a rental experience you will not regret!!!!
The house was lovely and very clean. It included a lot of little extras that we didn't expect. It was like having our own home there instead of an impersonal hotel. The beds and linens were very comfortable and the house was beautifully decorated. We rented their SUV which worked out well since we wanted to take a paddle board to other locations. There was plenty to do and places to explore. I think we managed to get to all corners of the island and see all the wonderful beaches.
We were greeted by the lovely Jocelyn who had made the best Rum Punch I have ever had. It was a great way to start our vacation. The weather was amazing, the ocean temperature nice and warm, you can see you toes in the sand while you stand up in deep water up to your neck. It is super clean and we swam and/or floated for hours. The beach sand is so silky and feels amazing on your feet. Sweet Escape VIlla is also super clean and well decorated. The Gorgeous Turquoise Slip cover sofa's to the pillow top mattresses. We were very comfortable in this villa and will definately recommend to freinds and family and return ourselves. We rented the SUV, which has Thule Kayak Racks, that made it easy for us to transport the Stand Up Paddle Boards to the beach with us. Great Exercise and fun to explore. Very nice seats in the Kayak's too. We just used the Kayak in the Canal which was also alot of fun. There is a brand new water trampoline with a Slide & Launch. We had fun playing with the kids on this at the dock. The Canal is also beautiful to swim in. There is a ladder on the water trampoline and at the dock. There is also a floating seadoo dock so we found it easy to get in and out of the water. There are lovely chaise loungers at the dockside patio and the palms trees and beauganvalia were beautiful to look at all over the property. Lots of lovely gardens with tropical flowers I dont know all the names of the flowers but loved the Hibiscus too & Night Blooming Jasmine. Thank You Katherine & Jocelyn for everything you did to make our stay amazing.
Sweet Escapes is a lovely, comfortable home with breezes flowing through. We loved the screened porch (especially since I'm prone to bug bites). Most of the meals we had at the house were on the porch. We also enjoyed lounging on the deck by the canal.
Joselyn had the house prepared, gave us a tour of the property, and made us some yummy rum punch. She pointed out areas of interest on a map. There was also a book with recommendations and directions. She was available via the house cell phone to answer any questions. We also liked finding a couple of beers and water in the fridge. We had plenty of paper goods, too.
We rented a car since there's not much in walking distance. We didn't have to drive far to visit the places we wanted to go, though. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella, & coolers are available for use. We didn't want for anything! It was the best-equipped house with supplies where we've ever stayed.
It was a relaxing vacation!
My husband and I stayed in the Sweet Escape Villa from the 13th of January through to the 20th. The Villa is just as pictured- spacious, clean and supplied with everything one needs to feel right at home. The bathrooms and bedrooms are beautifully done in the colours of the Caribbean and the living room/family room is large and comfortable!
We had issues regarding a lost passport the very first evening we arrived, and we have to thank Jocelyn and Katherine for all their assistance! We retrieved the passport that fell out in the back of our cab ride from the airport that very same night and were grateful for all the teamwork involved - and that extends to the cab drivers who helped get the word out! Wonderful people!
The binder full of information at the villa was extremely helpful and very user friendly. We definitely benefited from it. :-) Jocelyn even picked up the items we wanted to have on hand when we arrived! This is as over and above the complimentary pitcher of ice cold rum punch and the Turks Head beer that awaits every new visitor to the villa.
The SUV was perfect as I like a little air conditioning when we are driving. We packed the cooler, the beach chairs and towels as well as the umbrella every morning and made our way to either Grace Bay Beach or Long Bay Beach to soaked up the sun and swim in the ocean.
We were always just a text or phone call away from Jocelyn if we needed anything.
Sharkbite and Cocovan at night and Rickie’s beach bar in the day proved to be the perfect pace for both of us! Especially with Sunday night football.
One last mention that is too important to ignore...Katherine was gracious enough to understand the issues surrounding our flight suspension due to the fallout from hurricane Irma, and helped as much as she could to find alternatives for our planned visit in late November. When it proved to be impossible, she graciously offered us a credit, which we used as soon as possible. We didn’t expect this because our trip was less than two weeks away. Katherine’s offer went over and above, which speaks volumes.
Thank you for your hospitality Katherine and a big thank you to Jocelyn as well. We plan on returning!
The Villa is even better in person then it is in the pictures online and the pictures are what caught our attention and led me to inquire about staying at this beautiful villa. When Katherine responded with a wealth of information to help us plan our vacation, we knew we were in good hands as we were dealing with someone very passionate about ensuring their guests have the best vacation ever. We couldn't wait to their and we didn't want to leave once we had a taste of Island Life. Sweet Escape Villa is a beautiful property with a nice breeze, lots of palm trees and flowering shrubs in a quiet residential community of professionals and other Vacation rentals. There are no villa's across the canal so it was nice and private to sit down at the dock, it was like being at a modern cottage on a lake but we were on the Ocean. We had so much fun swimming in the canal, jumping on the water trampoline and at night, there are a million stars in the sky as there no light pollution. Katherine & Josie welcomed us with a glass of the most delicious rum punch. They gave us a map which was custom made showing us where we were staying, where the grocery store is, Sharkbite and a list of other great places. Once we got the hang of driving on the left we had a blast exploring the island. We felt "at home" and so welcome by everyone. We went to a several different places every day and enjoyed relaxing at different beach spot every day. We also went out on a 1/2 day snorkel trip with Island Vibes which was a highlight. We also went on a Sunset Sail with Ocean Vibes on their 48 foot Sail Catamaran sailing across Grace Bay into the sunset with great drinks and great friends. This was our first trip to Turks & Caicos and it exceeded our expectations. We had the best meals at Sharkbite, Yoshi's, Coco Bistro, Thai Orchid, Vix and Somewhere a few times. We are already planning our next trip and will be in touch to reserve our next stay at Sweet Escape. The Villa has the most comfortable pillow top mattresses, the bedding was soft and we all slept very well. The bathrooms are gorgeous, I loved the Turquoise Tiles, the soaker tub & 7 Foot shower with the Glass and pebble tiles on the floor and the bench seat with the Kohler rain shower was a dream shower. The great room has a beautiful caribbean wood beam ceiling and 2 large turquoise sofa's and a chaise lounge with a 55" TV was great for relaxing after dinner, great stereo and we loved sipping wine on the screened in porch.
I enjoyed my stay a lot was a beautiful place even after the hurricane it was barely noticeable that the hurricane was just over a week or so ago, the food was amazing and the house was spot on as they got there fixing and reinstallations all done making it better than the pics. Thx Josie and Kate.
I am so happy we chose Sweet Escape Villa. It was everything we dreamed of & more! I feel very lucky to have found this gorgeous place. We saved alot of money and had the best vacation ever. It is so nice to have all the amenities of home but on a tropical island paradise with your very own dock. In the morning, I took my coffee down to the dock and dove off the seadoo dock for a nice morning swim. The salt water is so therapeautic and it is so clear and clean and warm. We usually had breakfast at home, fresh grapefruit, berries on our cereal or eggs. There are 2 very nice white igloo coolers in great condition, along with lots of plastic tupperware to make it easy to pack a lunch. We rented the White Santa Fe SUV which is in great condition, cool ac, lots of cargo space. We had 4 people in our group. There are roof racks on top and they provide Tie Downs so you can transport 2 Sup's or a double Ocean Kayak to the beach or over to Leeward to explore the Mangroves. Katherine recommended we try that so we did and are we ever glad we did. Amazing yahcts at Blue Haven, Life of the Rich & Famous. We loved paddling across the channel to Half Moon Bay and the Mangroves. She showed us where Iguana Island was in relation to Big Blue Watersports and Blue Haven Marina. We saved over $800 by having the Kayaks & SUPS as that is what they charge for their eco tour for 2 hours and we got to do it for FREE. It was nice to do things on OUR TIME vs having to be on a schedule. I didn't wear a watch or ever look at my phone. There is great Wi-Fi in the Villa, so we were able to check emails and upload photos whenever we wanted. There is also a Printer available, if needed. The Villa is very comfortable. There are two super cozy Slip Cover Sofa's in the Great Room. I loved the Yellow Chaise Lounge with the Flamingo's on it. I passed out there reading my book a few times. The breeze thru the screened in porch was awesome. It felt like home. We were all very comfortable there. It is well decorated, very beachy, beautiful artwork, spotlessly clean. The furniture is excellent shape. The SS Fridge & Dishwasher were brand new. The Kitchen has a gorgeous granite countertop and undermount double sink and sprayer. We make alot of protein shakes & juices and there is a Nutribullet & another IQ Blender there that were amazing for that. Plus a coffee grinder, which she told us before our arrival, so we brought fresh beans with us. We ate at Sharkbite & Bay Bistro, both amazing. Thank You
This is a long-overdue review of our stay at the Sweet Escape Villa in mid-April. The Villa was more than adequate for our family of four. We found it to be clean and stocked with virtually everything we needed.
We enjoyed the canal and patio in the backyard and spent lots of time on the upper-level balcony. The grill and fully-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our breakfasts and most lunches right at “home,” so we could splurge on restaurant dinners. One day we bought a fresh snapper from a local fisherman and prepared it on the grill. Having a washer and dryer on site allowed us to pack very lightly.
Katherine and Josie were just a phone call or text away when we had questions, although the binder of information provided answered most of our questions.
We also rented the Hyundai SUV during our stay. It was so convenient to rent directly from Sweet Escape rather than going through a rental agency. Katherine took care of all of the paperwork for both the Villa and SUV rentals very efficiently and advised us in advance of what to expect every step of the way.
Perhaps most notable is the lengths that Katherine and her staff went to to track down an item we misplaced during our stay. We didn't realize until we returned that we'd left it behind. Josie kindly searched the Villa but couldn't find it. Eventually, it was discovered in the taxi we took to the airport (Sonny’s Taxi - I highly recommend). Sonny delivered it to Katherine, who Fedexed it to us. We were so grateful to have it back and pleased and impressed with the effort Katherine and her staff and Sonny the taxi driver put into helping us.
Sweet Escape was a wonderful experience all around, and I recommend it without hesitation. It'll be our first call next time we travel to TCI.
This was our first time to TCI. We've vacationed at to other places around the Caribbean so do have something to compare to. We did like TCI very much. The beaches are the best and many to choose from. Roads are in good shape and easy to get around. Provo also seemed to be relatively safe.
In the past we've always stayed where we could walk to the beach so had some concerns with staying inland. However, being centrally located offered the option to explore different spots so each day was different. We agree with other compliments concerning the villa and responsiveness from Katherine and Josie. One thing to mention is Katherine's "30 Things to do on TCI". Just follow her instructions and you'll have a great vacation.
Some of our highlights:
* Bugaloos on Friday night
* Rotary Park beach access - park and a cut through to Bay Bistro, walk the beach and use the foot bath.
* Bay Bistro for dinner - a "must do" dinner at least for one evening.
* Sharkbite for dinner - Kate's guide mentions that you may see a shark. Well, we didn't expect to see Jaws, but we did. Oh my!
*Turks Kabab
* Sapidilla Bay and beach. Water just seems to be warmer and calmer there.
* Snorkel from shore at Coral Gardens and Smith's Reef. It's free!
* Conch (and fish) Farm - very interesting.
PS - maybe the time of the year, but had no problems with bugs/noseeums/mosquitoes at all.
My husband, 4 year old son and I stayed in the cottage for a week and had a wonderful time! Joselyn is very helpful and there if you need her. We love having a washer and dryer because it cuts down on the luggage we have to bring. The bed was comfortable. We cooked on the grill every day. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us. We never felt unsafe, which was something I was concerned about. The house has a safe too. We also rented the Jeep and did a lot of exploring around the island. One of our favorites was Pirates Cove and Bonefish Beach (same location). Getting there took a long time but it was part of the adventure. We would definitely stay here again!
The amenities inside and out make it feel like a hotel/resort, but the privacy puts you on your own island! Recommend it to anyone.
We stayed at this property 3 times now, It is clean, spacious, has everything you need and is located close to everything. The host is wonderful and will make sure your stay in Providenciales is the best vacation you will ever have. We were welcomed with the islands favourite beer and rum punch even virgin punch for the kids! The best way to discover this island is to explore not stay on a resort, there are so many restaurants, beaches (we went to a different one each day) shops and you have the option of going to a resort for the day if you want. Being located on the canal gives you the option of using the many water toys at a fraction of the cost of those at the resorts. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the kitchen has everything you need the grocery store is just around the corner and being able to go to the fish fry on Thursday night was perfect. If you are thinking of travelling to the Turks and Caicos check to see if this property is available first!
No trip is without hiccups but it is not always about how it begins it's about how it ends. We had a few but they all worked out in the end.
With that said.....What a great week we had at this Villa. With all the extras this property offers it's a win win! We usually do all inclusive but the prices were way to high and visiting the island by renting a home allows you to REALLY enjoy the island. We brought food with us bought our other needs at the grocery store and toured this amazing island.
The island has recently had some bad PR and its too bad because this is the place to go and you can most certainly visit and make it an affordable trip. You just have to be creative to pull it off .
Although we never met Kate , Joselyn was a pleasure and was always a phone call away. I would suggest an alarm system if the bad Pr continues.
When we go back and we will it will be with this property owner. Thanks again for an eventful amazing week
As we drove up to Sweet Escape Villa & Guest Cottage the pictures on the internet came to life! The Property & Cottage are even better in Real Life. Of course, it is Paradise, the warm caribbean breeze just makes your body feel sooo healthy. There are beautiful mature Palm Trees, Tropical Trees, Flowering Beauganvalie & Hibiscus. The Cottage is very spacious & clean. The Caribbean Wood Beam Ceiling makes it feel bigger too, just loved the high ceilings & the ceramic tiles. The Bathroom has floor to ceiling 8 x 16 white bevelled ceramic tiles with a cobalt blue accent 1/2 way up the wall. They installed the small cobalt blue accent tiles onto the floor of the shower floor with a slip free surface. Perfect colour for a bathroom/shower combo. It has all new shiny silver faucets, shower head, taps & light fixtures, everything was sparkling clean. The Kitchen has a very nice black granite countertop with silver that sparkles in the light. It was well stocked with beautiful dishes, pots n pan, glasses, to-go travel mugs, plastic tupperware containers to help pack a lunch in the cooler provided. Katherine really thought of everything. There was a large assortment of spices, sea salt & pepper grinder, paper towel, napkins, sugar, coffee filters and we enjoyed a bag of Tim Horton's Coffee Beans Josie had left with a coffee grinder. There were also beautiful Guest Soaps, Shower Gel & Body Cream & a Blow Dryer. We used the Weber BBQ Grill alot. They sell amazing steaks at IGA and with the Montreal Steak Spice and a local Bambarra West Indian mustard we picked up at Fottac Store in Grace Bay. With a nice bottle of Red Wine from the Wine Cellar - they have a tasting bar and Jesus helped us choose the perfect wine - it is very close to the cottage. We took our dinner plates down to the dockside patio overlooking the canal. Oh my goodness, it is so beautiful. What a great place to dine & truly relax and enjoy paradise. Very private, romantic & peaceful. No distractions. Simply Amazing. We rented the Jeep and it was the perfect island vehicle. Josie showed us how to unhook the soft top over the vizor and hook it back up. It was so fun, we had such a great view. It is only 2 to 4 minutes to Grace Bay Beach where we snorkelled at Smith's Reef and in front of Somewhere Beach Cafe at Coral Gardens. All information Katherine provides in her brilliantly organized Guest Directory with driving directions to places. It made our trip so enjoyable! We did not want to leave, amazing!
Katherine and Josie were excellent to help us get settled and figure our way around TCI. This property is so lovely, and the bathroom was newly re-tiled. I'm looking forward to the possibility of returning! :) It was such a pleasure to stay here.
We had a fabulous stay at this property! Katherine was THE MOST accommodating host I've ever dealt with. From the minute we reserved the cottage, to our departure, she and her staff were in tune to our needs. I traveled with my 16 year old daughter, oldest daughter and son in-law who have an 8 month old baby. I worked out perfectly there was already a pack-n-play at the property. The Cottage was clean, spacious and super convenient to our other family members who were staying at Turtle Bay. We can't wait to go back for a second visit!
We had an amazing stay at the Sweet Escape Guest Cottage. Our experience started months before with Katherine (the property owner), who was incredibly accommodating and professional, and worked with us to get the cottage and Jeep rental squared away despite some complex circumstances. Once we got here, Josie (the property manager) made us feel welcome and gave us an overview of the island. This is a perfect location if you're renting a car. Grace Bay is minutes away (with abundant public parking and access), as is the grocery store. The water in the back of the property is a great place to spend an afternoon--quiet, private, and fun. We cooked dinner most nights, which was very easy to do with the kitchen supplies provided as well as the propane grill on the front deck. The living space is well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Even though it feels close to the main house, the cottage is very private and you don't really notice the other occupants (if they're there). Katherine and Josie go above and beyond to make sure that you feel comfortable and safe on this property. We had an excellent stay and hope to come back sometime soon!
We spent 8 days at Sweet Escapes Feb 7 to 15, 2017 in the cottage or Casita. It was very comfortable for two travelling. One on the day bed the other in the queen. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and we loved the BBQ on the the back. Jocelyn met us on the first day and had the list of food I had asked for prior to arriving. It was nice to unwind after a days travel with food in the fridge. She also spent time going over all the amenities of Sweet Escapes and gave us a cell phone to use while we where there. We just had to top up at the local FLOW counter at the IGA.
The canal is a great place to swim and we did almost daily. We kayaked the canal many times as well. The location is also perfect, sort of in the middle of everything. Close to the IGA and beaches. We rented a car for the duration and it was well worth it. If you don't have a car, Taxi's are costly. Driving is OK too just have to remember that its left hand drive, right side wheel!!......With the car we had the opportunity to hit all the beaches on the Island and found a little piece of Heaven at Cooper Jack Bay Beach the closest to the Sweet Escapes. Super easy to find and only about 10 minutes away. Very secluded and we where often the only folks there. Be careful when you are entering into the driveway at Sweet Escapes, the concert gate guard or speed bump is really high and the rental cars are low to the ground. You will scrape the bottom of the car if you don't hit it at the right angle!.....
We found that dining out was not an option as it is very expensive, so buying groceries
( which are expensive as well) and having all the utensils and BBQ at the cottage to cook was a bonus!!.
Sweet Escapes provide a cooler, lawn chairs and umbrella so we prepared picnics and went on beach adventures daily.
Over all was a wonderful place to stay and highly recommended.......only issue was the info book provided to guests should be updated as some of the roads are now paved and the book says "turn right at the second gravel road" not a big deal it just added to the road adventures daily!....again not a big deal but two toilet paper rolls and one roll of paper towels are not enough for 8 days.......perhaps provide more of each under the bathroom sink for guests or mention that you need to buy your own before you find yourself....stuck without it....
I’ve become a repeat visitor to the Island and always stay at Sweet Escape properties when available. Everything to give you a great stay is thought about whether it is up to date info on what’s going on, everything you need in the house so you don’t have to buy at vast expense at the grocery store, beach towels, snorkel gear - the list is endless. So frustrating staying somewhere and you find there’s no toilet roll or dishwasher tabs. You can literally leave your brain at home and enjoy the fully thought out villa. It shows that the owner spends time themselves in the houses to check everything you need is there. Discovery Bay is a great location too. Established residential area on the waterways, safe and quiet yet minutes from anything you want both to the East like Grace Bay and to the West like Sapodilla Bay etc. Recommended!
My husband had a conference at the Beaches resort but we decided to look for a VRBO rental instead. Beaches prices at $1,000/night and being all inclusive was not our cup of tea. After much searching, I found Sweet Escapes bungalow. Right from the start, Katherine gave us so much helpful information, suggestions and tips on we could make the most of our week on the island. The bungalow was spotless and very well organized and well equipped. Myself, husband and daughter had more than enough more with the two bedrooms and two full beautiful bathrooms plus the open concept kitchen and living room. The outside porch and deck area filled with comfortable furniture, we enjoyed throughout our stay as an outdoor living area overlooking the canal. She also provides you with coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, etc. Yiu can usethe paddle boards and kayaks that are on the property. The bungalow is located off of quiet side street from Leeward highway. This is the main road that takes you around the island so we could easily and quickly reach each destination. We immensely enjoyed all the local beaches, snorkeling, restaurants, Provo ponies horseback riding, half day snorkeling and Iguana island boat tour. with Island Vibes. We did use the pool, whirlpool and the beach at Sevan Stars Resort. And loved the snorkeling right at Coral Gradens. We did rent a SUV and were able to drive and investigate much of the island's hidden places. Highly recommend staying at Sweet Escapes verses staying at an all inclusive resort. It was cheaper and we could pick restaurants and activities that we wanted to do. Katherine is a great resource of Island knowledge.
We spent 1 week in this well-equipped, clean, conveniently located villa. Every time we needed something, we looked and found it. No detail has been overlooked. Communication between Katherine and Josie was so helpful from booking until the day we left when they helped set up transportation to the airport. Gracious hosts through and through. We felt very safe at the villa and enjoyed this as our “home base” for our first visit to the island.
fantastic stay ! Cant wait to book again
Very spacious and clean
Friendly island, awesome beaches and breathtaking sites.
My husband and I and two friends had the most enjoyable stay at Sweet Escape Bungalow. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very spacious, clean and the wall to wall tiles, double shower in the master ensuite and the Kohler Fixtures make the villa feel so luxurious without the luxurious price. Each room has two double sliding glass doors out to a wrap around deck. So you have a nice view to the north and west from the master and south and west from the 2nd bedroom which makes for great sunsets. There are room darkening roller blinds so if you want to sleep in a bit you can do that. The Kitchen is beautiful, well stocked with everything you could ever need and more. Katherine also ensures there are spices, sea salt and pepper, Tim Horton's Coffee, filters & grinder are a nice touch. We loved making our coffee and sitting outside on the covered porch in the comfy outdoor recliners overlooking the canal in the morning, the warm fresh air, fresh fruit, great friend and a beautiful villa were a great start for our vacation. We enjoyed exploring the canal in the Ocean Kayaks provided and Stand Up Paddleboards. We also took them on top of the SUV to Chalk Sound National Park and Leeward so we could explore and get our exercise. There are RIO Beach Chairs, and Igloo Cooler, very nice snorkel gear with dry snorkels so we went to Coral Gardens & Smith's Reef to snorkel and saw the most beautiful tropical fish in the clearest water we have ever seen. The ocean is the perfect temperature and we could just float in the ocean all day. It is paradise. It was so fun to cruise around in the Suv. We read the Island & Property Guest Directory that Katherine left for us and we took it with us. It has driving directions to her favourite beach stops along each of the islands incredible beaches so we could see what each spot had to offer. This made our vacation a dream vacation. We met the most beautiful people, we walked through the most beautiful resorts and enjoyed a spa day at the Regent Palms. When you are on the massage table you can hear the waterfall and then we went down to the pool for a swim and healthy lunch at the swim up pool bar called Plunge. There are very tall palm trees in the pool which has an infinity edge. We picked up some lobster tails and Rib Eye Steaks and cooked them on the BBQ and had a movie night at the Villa on the 55 Samsung TV and the Sofa & Matching Chair and ottoman made it very comfortable for each of us. Love TCI !
We spent a week here Nov. 2017. We came as a family. We enjoyed the home as there was plenty of coolers, chairs, towels for a beach visit. We cooked at the villa and there was more than enough cooking equipment from pots, pans, mixers for making drinks, grill, spices, etc.. there is a local fishery and a guy with the red truck and coolers to get fresh conch, shrimp, fresh caught fish and lobster daily. the fresh fish was far better than a restaurant. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and as well as the seclusion. You are not far from anything. Restaurants, beaches, shopping and snorkeling. Mango Reef is a nice closeby restaurant. For a family this is a nice home with plenty of room. Don't forget to take snorkeling gear to Smith Reef and Coral Gardens (very close by) for an awesome snorkeling trip. I'd say 5 min. We did do a day trip to the barrier reef - that was quite impressive. The water , beaches and snorkeling are my favorite and we've been many places. Thank you for a relaxing and beautiful vacation.
My wife and I traveled to Turks and Caicos and stayed with another couple at the Sweet Escape Bungalo. There was plenty of room for two couples.
We enjoyed using the supplied kayaks that we paddle out to a shipwreck in waist deep turquoise water two miles off shore. We also Kayaked into mangroves, and the boat canals right next to the bungalo.
We were a short drive to multiple amazing beaches, all with different features but sharing common brilliant blue waters.
Diving was great. Snorkelling was great. Beaches top Cozumel, Cancun, Saint Thomas, and Aruba. Never been to better beaches anywhere in the world.
Finally, Kate was a super hostess. She really helps outline all the island's best features so you don't miss a thing. By the way, we are here less than a month after Irma and Maria. We were considering canceling our trip due to nonsense news of island devistation. Kate was very helpful, letting us know all was good on the island and she was right. All is paradise on Turks and Caicos.
This was the perfect vacation spot, great privacy but still just minutes away from all the great attractions. Beautifully decorated and great kitchen. Our favourite thing had to be the walk in double shower with bench seats. It was so great after a day at the most beautiful beeches in the world! The paddle boards were so fun, and the outdoor grill was great! Loved that there seemed to be no bugs at all, hung out on the covered patio all night ! And having laundry was an amazing amenity that was surprising helpful, not use to being able to wash our swim suits on vacation! Great bonus! So many fun things to do and the locals are great, especially the local fish fry every Thursday, (must try the coconut rum in a real coconut) Such a great place to stay, will be recommending it to everyone I know!
We really liked this house! Very private, out of the way of touristy places, easy to get to other areas from here. As others have mentioned, the place is very well stocked which definitely saves you money (spices etc.) We were able to sleep with sliding doors open and wonderful breezes, no problem! Nicely decorated, very clean. Cell phone provided for calls to Jocelyn if you needed anything at all. One week was definitely not long enough to explore everywhere we wanted to! We ate at Hemingways for lunch - very good, the conch shack-also good. We missed most of the night time activities-looks like you should head to the Children's park early for the Thursday fish fry-we went later and people were parked far far far ! We only spent one day on Grace Bay beach-snorkeling and people watching and the rest of the time at more remote locations we just came upon! The only downside to our vacation was a bit more rain then we expected!! We would definitely go back to this house, it was just the two of us but would have been fine to share with one other couple!
Our family just stayed at the Sweet Escape for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is well maintained, clean and in a beautiful setting on the canal. We enjoyed having the ability to spread out with all our gear. Thank you so much Josie and Katherine for a great vacation.
Get location, your not missing out on anything it has all the conveniences of home, in an amazing place. Jocelyn is amazing and will help with everything you need.
The house was spotlessly clean and the beds were some of the most comfortable ever! There are two bedrooms each with 1 queen bed. Everything worked well and we did use the snorkels, bikes and cooler. Great location. However not really 'walk to beach' unless you are a triathlete lol. We had a car so we drove and discovered great parts of the island for fishing, dining and hanging out. The house is convenient to everywhere. We made breakfast most days and really enjoyed the back patio at night. The 1 night we did cook we had everything we needed. The only thing missing is the street number. But if you text upon landing they will meet you there. The picture is a little misleading because now there is a big house behind it within the same fence. So you think you are mistaken when you are looking for a little cottage and you see a big house. Lovely hosts. Thank you! Highly recommend! (ps look out for the wicked speed bumps everywhere on the island!!)
The property is tastefully decorated and very clean! It definitely met our needs! Katherine was great to work with beginning with my initial email! We were met by Joselyn with a cold rum punch and lots of information. We also referred to the 3-ring binder and loved all the info about the best snorkeling areas, great restaurants, food shopping, etc. We enjoyed meeting Norman and he told us that a swimming pool will soon be a nice addition to the property! That will be an excellent amenity.
We loved Hopewell Villa and did not want to leave this beautiful Island. Our family of 4 enjoyed a 7 Night stay. The Airport is modern and clean with a nice restaurant called "Gilley's". We rented a car from Rent-a-Buggy.tc at the Airport, a beautiful 4 door Jeep Wrangler so we could drive around with the T-Top's removed and enjoy the view as we were higher up then a car. Katherine & Jocelyn greeted us at the Villa with a delicious glass of their ice cold Caicos Rum Punch. It was a great way to start our vacation and they had virgin punch for our two boys 12 & 14. Katherine had also offered to stock our fridge with whatever items we wanted so that we didn't need to go grocery shopping day 1 and can enjoy a nice breakfast Day 2. That was a very nice touch. They also left the Recipe for the delicious Rum Punch. The Villa is nice & bright with lots of light, beautiful caribbean wood beam ceilings and a beautiful breeze was blowing through with the curtains blowing in the tropical breeze. The property is even more beautiful in person with mature trees siding onto the Provo Golf Club and the street lined with other beautiful villa's. We walked to the beach after unpacking and enjoyed a beautiful swim in the turquoise ocean at Grace Bay Beach. It was so nice to feel the silky white sand on my feet and run into the ocean. It was the perfect temperature. We all agreed it was the most beautiful beach we had ever been on and we have done alot of travelling. It was a very beautiful walk, the road is paved and then the main road has side walks. The Villa's, Resort's and Commercial Buildings have very nice architecture, very luxurious & beautiful everywhere we looked. We walked along the Grace Bay Strip to see what was there and were pleasantly surprised. We went to Danny Buoys Sports Pub as they had big screen TV's outside on the patio. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly and helpful. It was a such an enjoyable vacation from start to finish. We took Katherine's Guest Directory in the Jeep with us as she recommended and we went to Coral Gardens Snorkelling right from the beach and enjoyed the Fish Tacos' at Somewhere. We had an amazing sleep every night at Hopewell Villa, the mattresses are very comfortable and after all the fresh air and exercise we slept very well here. We had access to Netflix on the beautiful TV's at the Villa. The place is spotless. We loved the Villa, the Island, the people, the beaches and we will be back. Thank You!
My husband & I had a very relaxing time in this beautiful villa!! The house is amazing-comfortable beds, great showers, beautiful kitchen...I can't say enough good things. We ate at Turks Kebab 4 times (in one week) & also at Graces cottage had an amazing meal there. The grocery store and shops are not too far away (5-6 mins) & the sunset on the beach was breathtaking. Owners were very helpful even gave us a phone to use to call them if we needed anything. Great experience & would love to go back!!
The Hopewell Villa was even more wonderful in person than we imagined. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in the center of Grace Bay, this villa offered everything we need for a perfect family vacation. It was wonderfully appointed, fully stocked, nicely decorated, comfortable, and pristine.
The villa offered a lot of privacy while still being in the heart of Grace Bay. It's a short walk to town and the beach, and a short drive to an array of beach access points.
We can't say enough about the hospitality and kindness of Josie who we met the day we arrived and was there to help us with questions and advice throughout our stay. Norman the owner was equally gracious and helpful.
We visited in the middle of July and thought we'd be miserably hot, but despite the July heat, we enjoyed a cool evening breeze every night.
This was a dream vacation and we would definitely stay at the Hopewell Villa again when we return.
Katherine was a pleasure to rent from and the house had everything. I was centrally located and a great location. Will be back.
The house was lovely; in a very nice neighborhood, newly built, extremely clean, and very, very comfortable. Josi met us at the house with delicious rum punch and provided a great overview of the island and things to do while we were there. However, my husband and I experienced an extremely unfortunate event while we were staying in Provo and left after only three nights. With that said, Norman, Josi, and Kate were amazing! They were so supportive and provided such great care that we will never book with anyone other than the Sweet Escape team. We will be back and we will bring friends!
My family and I stayed at the villa in March and we loved it! The house was immaculately clean and was stocked with all of the basics, it also looked just like the pictures. We liked that it was in a quiet residential neighborhood and we never had to worry about our safety. Our neighbor Norman was also great and very helpful, he even brought us coconut one day because my mother wanted some.
Kate was great to deal with and answered all of my emails and inquires in a timely manner. She also went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay and accommodated our very many requests. I also found her guidebook to be very helpful. I highly recommend the hopewell villa, you will not be disappointed with your stay. When we visit again we will be staying here for sure. I do recommend renting a vehicle, we rented one from Kate and it was great. You really do need one to get to the beach and other shops, its a short drive. Also loved the outdoor shower was very helpful when returning from the beach.
Thanks to Kate, Norman & Josie for making our stay so wonderful.
